The Moonlit Forest is a separate exploration map reached through a portal behind a damaged stone door near your first home, after starting Zephyria's Explorer profession and crafting a slingshot. Walkthroughs describe a linear camp-to-camp route: Evernight Forest, Gate of Life, Dreamfall Garden, Crystalith Hideout, Azure Bay, Mural Valley, Harvest Yard, then a Waterwheel split up to Grain Haven or down to Darkwater Shore, and finally Homeward Trail, Serenity's Rest, and Moonlight Meadow. Camps are rest, craft, and fast-travel points, mostly repaired with Fluorite. The main mid-forest blocker is the Bronze Gate, which needs two Ruins Key halves. This page is a route hub, not a pin-accurate map — camp counts, chest totals, and key labels are still disputed.

Before You Enter
The entrance is part of the Explorer profession. Talk to Zephyria at the Exploration Club (on the left side of town, above Green Pasture Ranch), then craft the slingshot from 2 Softwood and 2 Fiber.
- Behind your first home, find the damaged stone door with yellow/gold weak spots. Screen Hype counts two spots on this first door.
- Slingshot the weak spots to break it. The small cavern behind holds Copper Ore and Midnight Herb.
- Step through the portal to land at the already-unlocked Evernight Forest camp.
Route Timeline
This is the route skeleton that Eurogamer, TheGamer, and Screen Hype broadly agree on, in walkthrough order. It is a schematic timeline, not a pixel-accurate map.
Schematic route & local checklist
A self-made route sketch for the reviewed camp order. It is not an official map or a fixed camp total.
| Order | Named area / camp | What the route does here |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | Evernight Forest | Portal landing; camp already unlocked; repair the broken bridge with 15 Stone |
| 2 | Gate of Life | Repair the camp; free 3 Gravestars from Gravecrystals to open the Astral Gate; pickaxe roadblock loops back to Evernight Forest |
| 3 | Dreamfall Garden | Bubble-river crossing; slingshot door; Luminfrog; repair the Luminpath with 5 Luminwing Butterflies; Crystalith boss at the end |
| 4 | Crystalith Hideout | Short rest camp after Crystalith; optional 3-Gravestar chest under the large purple mushroom |
| 5 | Azure Bay | Intermediate Explorer stretch; waterfall drop (guides say no fall damage) and elevator; chest with the second Ruins Key half |
| 6 | Mural Valley | Camp beside the Bronze Gate; Gravestar chest puzzle; pickaxe shortcut back toward Azure Bay |
| — | Bronze Gate | Mid-forest lock needing both Ruins Key halves; opens into the Glintortle boss |
| 7 | Harvest Yard | Fire / Water Arrows on the vines; Waterwheel repair |
| 8 | Grain Haven | Upper camp after riding the Waterwheel up |
| 9 | Darkwater Shore | Optional lower Waterwheel stop; fishing / Eldergrain spur with its own camp — not the end of the forest |
| 10 | Homeward Trail | Expert Explorer ruins path toward the final camps |
| 11 | Serenity's Rest | Light puzzle required to reach the last area |
| 12 | Moonlight Meadow | Final camp and the Ruin Guard; altar for the Luna Deer after the fight |
Major Gates and Bosses
- 15-Stone bridge (Evernight Forest): the first hard route repair.
- Astral Gate (Gate of Life): opens only after three Gravestars are freed from Gravecrystals — one back across the bridge, one by the camp portal, one past the Runebird on the left slope.
- Slingshot door and Luminpath (Dreamfall Garden): three yellow weak spots open the crumbling door; the Luminpath after the Luminfrog takes five Luminwing Butterflies.
- Crystalith: the first major path-blocking boss; defeating it opens Crystalith Hideout and drops a loot chest.
- Bronze Gate (Azure Bay / Mural Valley): the mid-forest lock. It needs two Ruins Key halves — one from Zephyria's Become an Intermediate Explorer quest, one from a chest by the waterfall elevator in the river valley. See the linked guide for the route and the Left/Right label conflict.
- Glintortle: immediately behind the Bronze Gate. Guides report Water Arrow and Pristine Orb blueprints as rewards.
- Vines into Harvest Yard: after Glintortle, Fire and/or Water Arrows clear or grow the vine path.
- Waterwheel: a canyon elevator reactivated through Zephyria's Senior Explorer quest. Eurogamer lists the repair as 5 Primorite, 5 Magnetite, 5 Gold, 1 Waterwheel Bearing, plus two Gravestars. It lifts up toward Grain Haven and reverses down to Darkwater Shore.
- Serenity's Rest light puzzle: raises the path into Moonlight Meadow.
- Ruin Guard: the final boss at Moonlight Meadow. After the fight, walkthroughs describe an altar that takes 3 Moonstone, 3 Spirit Berry, and 1 Prayer for the Luna Deer mount.
Camps and Fast Travel
Camps are rest checkpoints with a tent (sleep or pass the day), a workbench, and a campfire; larger equipment such as an Ammo Maker can be placed at a camp. The Evernight Forest camp is already open when you arrive. Later camps are activated by repairing their Moonweaver / yellow crystal — commonly 5 Fluorite — and Screen Hype notes that fixing a campsite also unlocks that area's portal. Repaired camps can fast-travel to each other, which is the main way to move around the forest once the route is open.
The in-game forest map is available on first entry, but TechRaptor notes it only shows vague camp and boss positions until you annotate it yourself.
Ore Progression Summary
Ore tiers track the route: early camps hold Copper, Tin, Fluorite, and Quartz; Coal, Iron, and Salt become common around Dreamfall Garden; Primorite, Gold, and Magnetite sit in the mid-forest around Azure Bay, Crystalith Hideout, and Mural Valley; Diamond, Oilstone, Flamecore, Moonstone, and Aurorite are later, past the Bronze Gate and Waterwheel. TechRaptor reports that Copper, Tin, and Quartz stop appearing roughly halfway through, that later nodes need stronger pickaxes, and that the Impact Hammer can break everything.
The per-camp mining lists and tool requirements — including the disputed first Gold camp — are covered in the ore locations guide.
Sub-guides: Bronze Gate, Ores, and Treasure
- Bronze Gate — where the gate sits, both Ruins Key halves, the elevator chest route, and the Left/Right label conflict.
- Ore locations — every ore by progression tier, the pickaxe line, and respawn disputes.
- Treasure chests — forest chests by type: camp and puzzle chests, boss drops, bubble chests, and treasure-map digs. No agreed total exists; that guide explains why.
Map Limitations and Conflicts
This page does not ship a pin map. The in-game map is sparse, and no official 1.0 (August 2026) map or camp table has been published — the detailed walkthroughs are February 2026 early-access material.
