The Greenhouse is a late-game Farming unlock, not a worktable recipe. Reach Expert Farmer with Graminova, then buy the Greenhouse Building Manual from the Happiness Seed Shop — wiki.gg's shop table lists it at 65,000g, and gameplay videos confirm it sits on the Expert shelf. After purchase, open Build Mode and place it from Production → Farming (or search "greenhouse") on land you own; some players order it through the phone shop app and collect it from the mail. Players report it lets any crop grow in any season, while wiki.gg says it prevents winter snow from slowing growth. Build materials, interior width, and winter behavior are all player-reported Early Access details — treat them as approximate, not confirmed 1.0 facts.

Requirements
- Expert Farmer rank. Farming starts by speaking with Graminova, the Farmer mentor and Happiness Seed Shop owner (he also sends a letter on Summer 2 of year 1). His trials progress through Apprentice, Junior, Intermediate, Senior, and Expert. The wiki.gg Farmer page lists the rank headings but not the quest text, so the exact trial list is not published.
- Coins for the manual. See the price note below.
- Land you own. The building must be placed on your homestead or another purchasable plot.
Buy the Manual
Once Expert Farmer is reached, the Happiness Seed Shop sells the Greenhouse Building Manual. Wiki.gg's shop table prices it at 65,000g, on the same Expert shelf as the Sprinkler III (20,000g), Starsand Grinder (40,000g), Fertilizer Box V (3,500g), and Hydraulic Hoe (10,000g) blueprints. TechRaptor's blueprint guide independently lists the manual at Expert Farmer, and two gameplay videos show the Expert-shelf purchase on screen.
Place the Greenhouse
- Do not look for it at a worktable — the manual is a build-menu unlock.
- Open Build Mode, go to Production → Farming, or search "greenhouse" in the build menu.
- Place it on your homestead or other land you own.
- Extending: players report the greenhouse extends in length only, the way fences extend, using more of the same materials. To make it wider, players place a second greenhouse beside the first so the interiors connect.
- Several players till a strip before placing the building so the inner rows stay usable — see the width caveat below.
What It Is Useful For
- Out-of-season growing. Independent Steam and Reddit players, plus gameplay videos, report that any crop can grow inside regardless of season.
- Winter protection (partially supported). Wiki.gg's Season stub says building a Greenhouse avoids winter snow slowing crop growth.
Note that weeds, insects, snails, watering, and fertilizer still apply inside — scarecrows, rabbits, ducks, sprinklers, and robots all still matter.
Size, Materials and Winter Caveats
Everything in this section is player-reported, mostly from Early Access (February–June 2026), and may have changed for 1.0:
Also unconfirmed: whether doors are required, the exact maximum length, and whether fruit trees fruit year-round inside without the final farming perk.
Troubleshooting
- The manual is not in the shop. You need Expert Farmer first; the Expert shelf only appears after the Senior trial is complete.
- I bought the manual but can't find the recipe. It is not a worktable craft — open Build Mode → Production → Farming, or search "greenhouse".
- I can't place it. It must go on land you own, not on town or public ground.
- Is it worth buying before the Starsand Grinder? Players who prioritize money often buy the Grinder first (it makes immortal seeds on demand) and treat the greenhouse as a later, partly cosmetic purchase.
